Integrated Campaigns
Small Steps for UTSA Campus Recreation (2023-2025)
At UTSA Campus Recreation, we believe that well-being starts with small steps. This initiative is designed to empower our vibrant UTSA community—students, faculty, and staff—to embark on a journey of self-improvement by making gradual changes in our daily lives. Incremental changes can have a profound impact on overall well-being. By focusing on small, achievable goals, we can enhance our mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, social, financial, and environmental health.

This campaign included a designated web page, giveaway items, posters, social media graphics and posts, TV-screen graphics, and several banners on the facility. All the designs for this campaign were created by Madison, with the exception of the outdoor banners which were art directed.

LGBTQIA+ Pride Month for UT San Antonio, Pride FSA (2021-2023)
Over the years, I have created a number of graphics in support of Pride Month at UTSA. I was responsible for making themed graphics for the institution (the ones you see with the white badge and patterned navy background) to be use on social media, web, and in print. I also created the banner people from the UTSA community walk behind during San Antonio's Pride Parade each June, and graphics for various events that we organized as Pride FSA. I also created a new set of Zoom backgrounds each year and GIFs for the institution's Giphy that can be used on social media.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month for UT San Antonio (2021, 2022)
For this campaign, I focused on raising awareness about people in the LGBTQIA+ community experiencing sexual violence. I wanted to recognize that intimate partner violence happens all kinds of relationships, not only male/female. Sexual assault knows no gender or sexuality, so I highlighted this by using more inclusive photographs and having a set of graphics with rainbow colors. The other colorway references the National Sexual Assault Awareness Month branding.
This package included social media graphics, RowdyLink banners, and Zoom backgrounds.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month for UT San Antonio (2021, 2022)
As with the other awareness campaigns, this one included graphics for social media, for UTSA Peace Center, badges for the institutional website, and Zoom backgrounds for the UTSA community to use.

XicanX New Visions for Dos Mestizx, Centro de Artes (2019-2020)
This project included posters, social media graphics, postcards, winyl wall graphics, and an extensive brochure about the exhibition and the work of all the artists. The exhibition was shown in San Antonio, TX, and New York City.

Walk to End Epilepsy for Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas (2018, 2019)
The Walk to END Epilepsy is an important annual event at EFCST to raise money for their programs and to help pay for medical care for individuals with epilepsy. The campaign for W2EE included postcards, brochures, social media posts, the main website and an additional site for the walk, a t-shirt design, emails to encourage registration, newsroom articles, and promotion of other important giving days.

Apparel
I’ve created a wide range of t-shirt and apparel designs for institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, and events since 2009. My work includes giveaways, staff shirts, and signature event designs for UTSA Campus Recreation and UTSA as a whole, including custom illustrations for Roadrunner Days and affinity groups like Pride FSA and Survivors FSA. While at the Epilepsy Foundation of Central & South Texas, I designed shirts for major fundraising events like the Walk to End Epilepsy and the Car & Vintage Plane Show. At Promo Assets, I developed promotional merchandise and specialized racehorse hats for the Kentucky Derby, experimenting with wet-into-wet screen printing and playful shop branding. Freelance clients have ranged from nonprofits to student groups, often seeking bold, community-oriented designs that bring their vision to life.

Posters & Printed Media
My poster designs span campus programming, gallery exhibitions, and special events. At UTSA Campus Recreation, I’ve led the creation of versatile poster sets, adapting each design across multiple formats—from 16"x20" indoor cases and 11"x17" outdoor signage to digital layouts for Instagram stories and campus-wide display screens. These designs promote everything from fitness events to wellness campaigns. In freelance work, I create posters for exhibitions, nonprofits, and community organizations, always tailored to the tone and audience of each event. Below is a selection of posters I’ve designed from 2012 to 2024.

Other Print Media
This collection showcases a variety of print projects beyond posters and apparel—ranging from editorial illustrations to large-scale billboard design. I’ve created lead and supporting artwork for YES! Magazine’s August 2024 issue on building a survivor-centric society, as well as merchandise art for small businesses and illustrations for a 2020 virtual exhibition. At UTSA Campus Recreation, I designed vibrant postcards for tabling events and information sessions, with coordinated front-and-back layouts tailored for student audiences. Earlier in my career, I designed and pitched billboard graphics while working at KEM Outdoor, where I also managed rental contracts and client presentations. These projects reflect my adaptability across formats, audiences, and scales—from intimate handouts to highway-sized visuals.
